For this project, we need to create a wearable device that can change our perception and our relationship with the environment. We ultimately decided to make a wing that would:

1. serve as an extension of the human arm
2. alter human perception of air and enhance the sense of movement and air through heightened sound sensation

We found many materials such as plastic bags, sponge pads, and polystyrene to construct the framework and surface of the wing. To make the entire apparatus look more like a wing, we placed all the seams at the skeletal joints, making it easier to perceive and enhance the sensation of wind. When moving forward, the wing would act as resistance, emphasizing the presence of wind through the sensation of being blocked. When moving backward, the plastic of the wing would create a loud noise, further enhancing people's sense of wind from an auditory perspective.
